The movie stars Raven-Symoné as college-bound teen Melanie Porter, who goes on a road trip to different colleges with her father, a police officer, played by Martin Lawrence, who is afraid of her moving far from home. The film also stars Brenda Song as college-bound teen Nancy, who surprises Melanie on her road trip along with her friend, Katie, played by Margo Harshman. Nancy and Katie are Melaine's best friends in the film. The film mainly centers on Melaine and her desires for going to another college.
Memorable scenes include her father breaking into a sorority house where she is staying, where he hides and oversleeps, causing them to miss their plane flight; an outdoor wedding reception being destroyed by the family's pet pig; and also a later scene where Mr. Porter and his panicked daughter must parachute from a plane.more info
